For Parents & Guardians

Built for Teens.
Designed with Parents in Mind.

Athletics Crew is a teen fitness and nutrition platform for ages 13-18. We combine age-appropriate training, AI form feedback, and balanced nutrition guidance — all wrapped in safety guardrails that put long-term development ahead of short-term intensity.

Safety Comes First

Age-Appropriate by Design

Every workout, exercise progression, and nutrition suggestion is built specifically for teens aged 13-18. We avoid heavy maximal loads for younger users and scale intensity based on growth phase and training history.

AI Form-Check Camera

Our camera feature uses real-time pose detection to flag unsafe positions during squats, push-ups, lunges, and more — like having a coach in the room reminding your teen to keep their back neutral and knees tracking correctly.

Technique Before Load

Athletics Crew prioritises movement mastery over one-rep-maximum weight. Teens earn progress by completing reps with good form, not by lifting the heaviest possible barbell.

Body-Neutral, Health-First Language

We use supportive, development-focused framing. No 'bulk/cut' pressure, no shame, and no adult diet culture. The goal is long-term athleticism, confidence, and healthy habits.

Development-First Training

Teen bodies are not small adult bodies. Bones are still growing, hormones are shifting, and coordination is still maturing. That is why Athletics Crew builds every program around three principles:

01

Technique Over Load

Reps only count when form is good. The camera feature and manual coaching cues reinforce safe positions before weight is added.

02

Progressive, Not Aggressive

Volume and intensity increase gradually. Rest days and deload-style sessions are built into the weekly rotation.

03

Growth-Phase Aware

During a growth spurt, the app automatically reduces volume and increases rest so training supports recovery, not fights it.

How Athletics Crew Supports Teens

Structured Workouts

Daily and weekly sessions are auto-generated around a teen's goal, schedule, and available equipment — with clear warm-ups, main work, and cool-downs.

Nutrition Awareness

The meal scanner and Smart Log help teens understand protein, carbs, fats, and overall balance. We grade foods A+ to F and explain why, without moralising or banning treats.

Growth-Phase Aware

Training volume and rest recommendations adapt during pre-growth, peak-growth, and post-growth phases so workouts match a changing body.

Motivation, Not Pressure

Streaks, leagues, and achievements reward consistency and effort — not appearance. Camera-verified reps count toward leaderboards; manual logs are still saved but don't unfairly climb rankings.

Positive Community

Crews and leagues are built around self-improvement. Teens compete on effort and consistency, not on tearing others down.

Flexible for Busy Schedules

Most bodyweight sessions need no equipment and can be done at home in 20-40 minutes, making consistency realistic around school, sport, and social life.

Transparency for Families

Transparent Progress

Your teen can show you their dashboard, workout history, progress photos, and achievement timeline directly in the app — no hidden feeds or anonymous interactions.

Private by Default

Workout data, progress photos, and personal stats are tied to their account and protected by Supabase Row-Level Security. Crews require invite codes to join.

No Anonymous Sign-Ups

Accounts require email verification and a unique username. We do not allow anonymous or unverified registrations.

Common Questions

Q.Is strength training safe for 13-year-olds?

Yes — when it is supervised, technique-focused, and appropriately loaded. Major sports medicine organisations support supervised youth resistance training. Athletics Crew keeps loads moderate, teaches form first, and uses the camera feature to catch risky positions early.

Q.Will my teen be lifting heavy weights?

Not unless they are ready. Younger or newer users start with bodyweight and light loads. Heavier lifting is only introduced after movement mastery and growth-phase checks. We also avoid heavy maximal efforts for users under 15 or with a BMI below range.

Q.What if my teen has an injury or medical condition?

The app includes injury tracking that adapts recommended exercises. That said, Athletics Crew is not a medical service. Any injury, pain, or medical condition should be cleared by a qualified healthcare provider before training.

Q.Can I monitor what my teen is doing?

The app is designed for teen ownership, but everything is visible on their device if they choose to share it. There are no private message threads, hidden purchases, or anonymous social feeds.

Q.Does the app promote dieting or calorie restriction?

No. We focus on energy availability, balanced meals, and fuelling growth and sport. The nutrition tools are educational and grade-based, not restrictive. If a food scores poorly, we suggest real alternatives rather than banning categories.

Q.How does the free trial and pricing work?

Core workouts, nutrition logging, and the starter program are free. Plus and Premium plans unlock advanced analysis, AI coaching, and deeper insights. New users can start a 7-day free trial of paid features.
